Post was acquired by Microsoft, Nokia Corporation changed its name to the Microsoft Mobile. So what about the product? Is Microsoft going to remove the legendary brand is Nokia?
Apparently not. Microsoft is aware of the name of the legendary Nokia will continue to be a powerful attraction for consumers.
"Nokia Mobile brand will continue. There will still be used for the Lumia Asha and some feature phones" said Head of APAC Microsoft Mobile Device DX Srikanth Raju in interviews with the media.
He said Microsoft as part of the acquisition also has the right to use the brand Nokia. Mobile phone itself has now become a very important strategy for Microsoft.
Furthermore, he also explained the company's strategy to continue business unit of Nokia devices. Srikanth citing what ever mentioned Microsoft's new CEO Satya Nadella about cloud strategy first, mobile first.
"What does it mean? So what happens in the cloud, as you know Skype, Office 365, Skydrive is now so One Drive, all will reach the next billion consumers. Billions of users in the world the first time using a mobile device" he said.
As we all know, Nokia has now officially belongs to Microsoft in exchange for approximately U.S. $ 7 billion. Thus, Microsoft will take over all business lines Nokia Devices and Services, among others, including Smart Devices and Mobile Devices.
Lumia mobile phone brands in the upscale, Asha in lower classes or Nokia X is now under the auspices of Microsoft. Microsoft also will control the third -party patents and contracts related to Nokia devices.
